A mid-engine Corvette seemed like a huge break from tradition when the C8 generation hit the market in late 2019, but already the iconic sports car is set to go through another modernization when a fully electric version is added to the lineup. Chevrolet hasn’t released many details yet, but it has confirmed that the Corvette EV is on the way. We expect a powerful, three- or four-motor powertrain with around 1000 horsepower and standard all-wheel drive. The two-seat interior will likely carry over from the gasoline-powered Corvette. The race is on for an all-electric sports car, with upcoming rivals such as the Dodge Challenger eMuscle and an electric version of the Porsche 718 both eyeing the same performance niche of the EV marketplace, why not find out more about the switch from gas to electric cars.

Corvettes of Melbourne, Vic Vettes and Surfcoast Corvettes will host the first Corvette Nationals since Queensland in 2019, due to the enduring Covid 19 pandemic. It is important that we recognise and thank the South Australian and Canberra Clubs for their ongoing efforts attempting to hold the Nationals in the face of insurmountable odds, Discover More here.

Taking place in historic Ballarat, the 2023 Gold Rush Corvette Nationals will run from Friday 24th – Monday 27th March 2023. This event has been moved away from Easter to avoid congestion and make our event more affordable for attendees.

Mercure Ballarat Hotel and Convention Centre will transform into the Corvette HQ during the event. The good news is we’ve been able to negotiate a fantastic rate for these Nationals so we advise you to get your bookings in early – otherwise, overflow accommodation will be available at a nearby hotel.
